1. Create a meeting type
- Open Bookings and choose Meeting types. Create a meeting with a name and duration.
- Add an optional description, location and your own HTTPS meeting link. NILO does not generate a video-call link for you.
- Choose whether bookings need your approval and whether this meeting accepts bookings. Save the meeting.
- Publish your NILO profile to make its booking pages available. Copy the meeting link, or choose “Add to page” and publish the updated profile.
2. Set the hours people can book
Open Availability and check your time zone. Set your weekly hours and use date overrides for days off or different hours on a particular date.
Adjust minimum notice, how many days ahead people can book, buffers before and after meetings, and start-time spacing. Choose “Save availability” when you finish.
Visitors see available times in the time zone shown on the booking page. Ask them to check it before confirming.
3. Connect Google Calendar if you want conflict checks
Under Calendars, choose “Connect Google Calendar” and review Google’s account-access screen. A connected Google Calendar lets NILO check busy times and add confirmed NILO appointments to your primary calendar.
Native booking pages can work independently. Apple Calendar and Outlook users can use the “Add to calendar” download for an appointment; live conflict checking currently supports Google Calendar.
4. Keep track of appointments
The Appointments tab has upcoming, pending, past and cancelled filters, plus search. Open a record to review attendee details, notes and any meeting link.
If a meeting requires approval, confirm the pending request from the workspace. If Google sync reports a problem, the appointment can still be saved in NILO; use the retry control and review its status.
Save the private management link
After a guest books, the confirmation page provides a private management link and an “Add to calendar” download. The guest should save that link to check the latest status, reschedule or cancel.
NILO does not currently send confirmation emails. Make sure your guests know to keep the management link. Treat it as private because it gives access to that appointment.
Questions about this guide
Do I need another scheduling service?
No. Meeting types, availability, booking pages and appointment management live in NILO. You can optionally connect Google Calendar for busy-time checks and event copies.
Why aren’t there any bookable times?
Check that the meeting accepts bookings, your profile is published and availability is saved in the right time zone. Minimum notice, buffers, date overrides, existing appointments and connected Google busy times can all affect the slots shown.
Does a pending request mean the meeting is confirmed?
No. If the meeting requires approval, the guest’s time is held while the host reviews the request. The private management page shows its current status.
